Skykitchen restaurant reopens after spring break – and defends its Michelin star for the eleventh time

Berlin, 26 June 2025 – Back above the rooftops of Berlin: after a spring break lasting several months, Skykitchen at Vienna House by Wyndham Andel’s Berlin is making an impressive comeback – with two reasons to celebrate: just in time for its reopening, the fine dining restaurant has once again been awarded a Michelin star. For the eleventh time in a row, the Michelin Guide has recognised the outstanding cuisine and overall experience of Skykitchen – a strong sign of quality, consistency and passion.

Skykitchen has been one of Berlin’s top restaurants since 2014. Sascha Kurgan, a native Berliner and experienced chef, has been responsible for the culinary signature since 2023. His menus combine regional products with Mediterranean, Asian and French influences – clear, creative and with typical Berlin lightness. The current menu line, ‘Voyage Culinaire’, takes guests on a culinary journey across several continents – with the city always in view.

Hostess Barbara Merll, awarded ‘Berlin Hostess’ and ‘Maître of the Year’, creates the perfect atmosphere. Together with her team – sommelière Sharin Polte, Erik Schelän and Mario Fabian – she stands for professional and warm service. Guests experience relaxed hospitality at the highest level – authentic, and with attention to detail.
