The Berlin-based HR Group is pleased to announce that as of March 1, 2025, Heinz Krähenbühl has taken on the role of Cluster General Manager, overseeing both Mövenpick Hotel Zürich Airport and Mövenpick Hotel Zürich Regensdorf. The experienced hotelier has been with HR Group since 2021, managing Mövenpick Hotel Zürich Regensdorf. In his new position, he also assumes leadership of Mövenpick Hotel Zürich Airport, returning to a familiar location where he previously worked from 2004 to 2005.

A native of Zurich, Heinz Krähenbühl brings extensive international experience in the hospitality and gastronomy industries. After training as a chef and earning his Swiss Federal Diploma in Hotel Management, he began his career in Switzerland before taking on various international roles. He spent over 15 years as a General Manager with the Mövenpick Group, working in Beirut, Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. His career also took him to Moscow, Singapore, and Dubai. Upon returning to Switzerland, he led the Crowne Plaza Zürich for nearly six years before taking responsibility for Mövenpick Hotel Zürich Regensdorf and Vienna House by Wyndham Zur Bleiche Schaffhausen in 2021.

With his extensive experience and deep understanding of the Zurich hotel market, Heinz Krähenbühl brings valuable expertise to his new role. “I am very much looking forward to the challenge of leading both Zurich Mövenpick hotels and, in particular, to returning to Mövenpick Hotel Zürich Airport. My goal is to further develop the hotels together with the teams and provide our guests with outstanding experiences,” says Heinz Krähenbühl.

Oliver Sedlinger (52) and his agency have been representing HR Group, Europe’s leading multi-brand hotel operator, in the source markets of Greater China since January 1st, 2025. This represents a significant expansion of HR Group´s sales presence in the Greater China region, focusing on B2B sales and business development within the outbound travel market.

As the biggest multi-brand hotel operating company in Europe, and one of the fastest growing global hospitality groups, HR Group will strengthen its international sales structure, particularly in the three travel source markets of Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan across all business segments.

The priority of this new partnership will be to market the group’s fast growing hotel portfolio. In this capacity, Oliver Sedlinger will be responsible for enhancing HR Group’s market presence and strengthening the sales of its hotel portfolio within a market that is of great importance to the company. Together with his team, he will cooperate and work closely with local tour operators, travel agencies, and other partners. Oliver Sedlinger has more than 24 years of experience in China, a period which has seen him achieve success in a variety of executive management roles including the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) and successfully representing various international tourism suppliers from different fields. As the owner and CEO of a consulting and marketing agency that specializes in the Chinese outbound travel market, he and his team represent and support international clients in cultivating their business from one of the most important tourism source markets in the world.
